Dr. Daniel Epshtein is an associate clinical professor at the SUNY College of Optometry with duties encompassing clinical care, clinical teaching, and didactic education. Previously, he was the coordinator of optometry services and assistant professor at the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital ophthalmology department. Dr Epshtein’s clinical interests include retina, glaucoma, and posterior segment diagnostic imaging. Dr Epshtein’s research focuses on using the latest ophthalmic imaging technologies to elucidate ocular disease processes and to help simplify equivocal clinical diagnoses. He lectures on multiple topics including multimodal imaging, glaucoma, retina, ocular surface disease, and perioperative care.
